Hope you are all ready for a week of fun-filled activities as we celebrate Catholic Schools Week. Thank you to Miss Chiros, Mrs. Distler and grade 6 students who are preparing the readings for our CSW Opening Mass at 4 p.m. Saturday 1/25. Also a big thank you for all that are coming to our Pasta Dinner following the Mass! Thank you to all our volunteers especially Mrs. Shemchuk and Mrs. DeLucia for planning the Pasta Dinner and all those that are helping to set up, cook and clean for this event. The food will be delicious and seeing all the community spirit with the families and children is what it is all about.
On Sunday 1/26 we will have an Open House from 10 a.m.-noon for new families. I am grateful to all the students who volunteered to help give tours and share the good news of the Immaculate Conception School. We will also give tours during the weekday by appointment. We are filling up quickly so please tell your friends to register right away!
We have an exciting week coming up with Catholic Schools Week (CSW) activities! Check out the schedule on the website or on Facebook page which also includes what students can wear each day. Also, this was all sent in the envelopes in December/January as well.
Please read on for information and events upcoming and have a great week ahead
REGISTRATION FOR 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR
Registration for the '25-'26 school year is now taking place for new families. If you know of a family interested in our school, we will be having an Open House on Sunday, Jan. 26 from 10-12 or they can call for an appointment. We are filling up quickly so please tell your friends to register right away.
FROM THE NURSE
If your child is not feeling well, please consider the following: do not send your child to school and see their doctor to get tested for Covid-19, flu, strep throat, or other communicable illnesses. Students should remain at home until fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medicine.
FINANCIAL AID
Financial aid will be open as of February 15 for K-8 families. You will need your taxes from last year (2023) as well as W-2s from this year (2024). Reach out to the office with any questions or if you need help.
SPECIAL PERSON DAY
Make sure you send back your form of who will be attending to eat with your child on Thursday, Jan. 30. Please note that each child may have one special person come to eat with them. Also, if you are allowing your special person to take home your child after they eat, please check the appropriate space on the form. No child will be able to leave without this permission.
POUNDS OF COINS—Next week!
We will be having a race on what class collects the most pounds of coins which will be donated to the missions. This will take place of the Lenten boxes. Coin containers will be weighed each day and a chart will be made and announced to the students daily of whose class is in the lead. The winning class of each level (PK-2) (3-5) (6-8) will win either an ice cream party or pizza party for their class. The winning teachers will choose with their class when they will celebrate their party.
EARLY RELEASE THIS FRIDAY, 1/31
Fri., 1/31 is a half day with dismissal at 11:30 a.m.; there is no after school busing. Kids Club is available - students attending Kids Club should bring a lunch.
TEACHER REQUESTS for 25-26 SCHOOL YEAR
Please note that parents may speak to their child’s current teacher since they will be the ones to make class lists for the next school year. Teachers have the knowledge of who children will do better with academically and what students should or should not be together. We cannot take 300+ requests for teachers. We cannot guarantee parent requests any longer but you can mention to your child’s teacher your preference its possible.
Have a great CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK ahead! We are so grateful for our top-notch, close-knit and totally-awesome Catholic school community!
