NWEA TESTING
NWEA testing begins Monday, Sept. 11th, and continues over the next 3 weeks. Students in grades K-1 will test in reading and math; grades 2-8 will test in reading, math and language arts.
Please make sure your child gets a good night's rest and eats a good breakfast each morning. Teachers will let you know what day your child will be testing. Please ensure your child is on time for school as once a session has begun no one may enter the classroom.
Children will complete the tests in the computer lab or on Chromebooks in their classroom.
Grades K-1 will be using headphones during testing.
These are computerized tests that are completed in September and then done again in May as one way to assess academic growth. Some students do very well in these tests and others have trouble since they cannot go back and check their work once answer is submitted, etc.
We will share the results and growth at the end of the school year.
